XIII Municipal Entrepreneurship Week

The “Solemnity for the Presentation of Tributes to Companies for Time of Performance at the Teather dof Faculdade da Serra Gaúcha” took place last night. On this occasion, Mr. Fábio Marcelo Manzato, accompanied by his wife, represented the dedicated work of all employees who were part of the 40-year history of Dynamics Quick Release Couplings.

Event promoted by Caxias do Sul City Hall, attended by authorities and relevant entities from the municipality, who were welcomed by the Secretary of Economic Development and Innovation, Mr. Élvio Gianni. On the occasion, the secretary reinforced that Caxias do Sul reached 21st position in the general ranking of the Entrepreneurial Cities Index (ICE) 2023, carried out by the National School of Public Administration (Enap), with support from Endeavor. The study sought to evaluate which cities are most suitable for starting a business in Brazil. 101 cities were analyzed, according to 48 indicators, divided into seven determinants: regulatory environment, infrastructure, market, access to capital, innovation, human capital and entrepreneurial culture.

In the Innovation pillar, Caxias also stood out. In the ranking of most innovative cities, it reached 1st place in Rio Grande do Sul and sixth place in Brazil. This index was based on two main categories and nine indicators: patent registration, size of the innovative industry, size of the creative economy, size of ICT companies, proportion of masters and doctors in S&T, proportion of employees in S&T, average investments, technological infrastructure and contracts and concessions.
